VICTORIA, Seychelles — The 20th edition of the ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ children’s talent show, held at the International Conference Centre Seychelles (ICCS) over the weekend of August 23 and 24, showcased a stellar line-up of 20 young performers between the ages of 4 and 12. The show kicked off with a song from the well-trained Twinkle Twinkle Little Star choir, before the first group took the stage.

Arthur Bonne performed ‘You Are Beautiful’, followed by ‘Just an Illusion’ by Amarah Sedgwick, while Axelle Hennie from Praslin sang ‘Die with a Smile’ and Aurélie Hoareau sang ‘Snowman’. The second group consisted of Adelle Sopha with ‘Easy on Me’, Eliah Camille with ‘Soley Leve’, Maya Nicette with ‘In the Name of Love’, Matthew Chang Sam with ‘One Love’ alongside two backup singers, Leah Evenor with ‘Eski’ and Kayla Jeremie with ‘Fanmiy Mizer’.

Special performances were given by Ariel and Adele Larue, the Navigation Band and the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star choir, while the Group Diamond also performed a dance. Bianca Bonnelamme, a star who performed in the 2001 edition at the age of six, returned to the stage to share her musical journey and performed ‘Over the Rainbow’. Hosts Hashim Confiance and Adelle Sopha kept the audience engaged throughout, and a parents’ committee was formed to better coordinate the children’s movement and planning.
