Parey Sak Lannen: Community Event Draws Crowds on Mahé and Praslin

VICTORIA, Seychelles — A community event dubbed ‘Parey Sak Lannen’ drew large crowds yesterday, with participants from both Mahé and Praslin gathering to celebrate a shared cultural and community spirit. The event, which was attended by people dressed in blue, highlighted the importance of unity, solidarity, and pride in Seychellois identity.

The event featured song, dance, and other cultural performances, with participants from across the islands coming together to share in the occasion. Organisers said the event was an opportunity to bring communities together, to celebrate the country’s diversity, and to strengthen the bonds that unite Seychellois.

Officials and community leaders who attended the event congratulated the organisers and participants, and noted that such initiatives play an important role in promoting national cohesion and in showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Seychelles. Plans are already underway to organise similar events in the future.
