VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Electoral Commission of Seychelles (ECS) has confirmed that eleven potential presidential candidates for the September 2025 elections have made the security deposit required ahead of nomination day on Tuesday August 19, 2025. The eleven candidates who paid the deposit are Patrick Herminie (United Seychelles), Maarco Francis (Seychelles United Movement), Wavel Ramkalawan (Linyon Demokratik Seselwa), Alain St Ange (Lalyans Nouvo Sesel), Kisna Louise (Independent), Vincent Padayachy (Laliberte), Robert Moumou (Seychelles People’s Movement), and several other independents and party representatives. The commission is expected to publish the final list of cleared candidates following nomination day.
