VICTORIA, Seychelles — Michella Sinon was crowned the first-ever Miss Takamaka in a historic beauty pageant held on Saturday evening. Ms Sinon triumphed over four other contestants — Allanie Dine, Shakira Morel, Rachica Victor and Anisha Louys — in an evening wear and talent showcase that celebrated Seychellois beauty, culture and creativity.
The pageant, organised under the Takamaka brand, marked the launch of a new platform for young Seychellois women to showcase their talents, intelligence and cultural pride. Contestants were judged on evening wear, personality and a final question segment, with the panel of judges evaluating poise, eloquence and connection to Seychellois heritage.
The inaugural event drew a strong turnout of family, friends and supporters who cheered on the contestants throughout the evening. The organisers said the success of the first edition bodes well for the pageant becoming a regular feature on the local events calendar, providing opportunities for young women to develop confidence and represent Seychelles on regional and international stages.
