SFRSA Honours Beauchamp for 35 Years of Service at Long-Service Awards

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA) has honoured a number of long-serving officers for their decades of dedication, including Beauchamp, who is being recognised for 35 years of service to the agency. The awards were presented during a ceremony attended by senior officials from the ministry, the agency, and representatives of partner organisations.

Speaking at the ceremony, the chief fire officer paid tribute to the officers for their commitment and professionalism, noting that the work of the agency depends on the experience and dedication of staff who have served for many years. He noted that the agency has continued to invest in training and equipment, and that the contribution of long-serving officers is essential to mentoring younger staff and ensuring the smooth running of operations across Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue.

Mr Beauchamp expressed his gratitude for the recognition, saying that the work of a firefighter is not just a job but a calling. He encouraged younger firefighters to remain committed to the service and to take advantage of the training opportunities provided by the agency. The ceremony also recognised officers who have served for 25 years and above, with the chief fire officer thanking their families for the support they have given to the officers throughout their careers.
