Presidential and National Assembly Elections Set for September 27, 2025

VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Seychelles Electoral Commission (SFA) has announced that the next Presidential and National Assembly elections will be held on September 27, 2025. The announcement was made during the commission’s official communication, setting the political calendar for the country and signalling the start of a critical election cycle for the islands.

The SFA, acting in accordance with the constitutional timelines, will oversee the organisation, supervision and conduct of the elections, including voter registration, candidate nominations, polling, and the announcement of results. Citizens are being urged to verify that they are registered and to take note of relevant deadlines in the run-up to polling day.

As the date approaches, political parties are expected to formalise their candidates, lay out their manifestos, and engage voters in debates on the country’s economic direction, social policy, security, and the environment. The September 27 vote will determine both the head of state and the composition of the National Assembly for the next legislative term.
