R5.8 Million Disbursed to 17 Community Projects Under National Grants Scheme

ROCHE CAIMAN — The National Grants Committee has officially disbursed R5,898,434 to 17 community-driven projects following the first call for proposals for 2026. During a ceremony held at Olympic House, Vice-chairperson Tessa Henderson presented certificates to the grantees, marking the beginning of 12-month initiatives focused on social welfare, environmental conservation, and educational empowerment.

The grants were allocated from an Appropriation Bill fund of over R9 million. The projects span a wide range of national priorities:
