New Seychelles i-Guide Platform Launched to Ease Business Investment Procedures

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Seychelles has taken a major step to modernise its investment climate with the launch of a new online Investment Guide aimed at making it easier for local and foreign investors to do business in the country. The new Seychelles i-Guide platform was officially launched by Jason Munyan, economic affairs officer at the Investment Promotion Section, at a ceremony held at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort.

The i-Guide is a strategic digital tool designed to attract high-quality, informed investment into the country by providing investors with clear and reliable information. This contributes to Seychelles’ efforts to modernise its public services and the ease of doing business under the National Development Strategy 2024-2028. The platform is a collaboration between the Seychelles Investment Board and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

The guide provides step-by-step information on business registration, licensing requirements, tax obligations, and sector-specific regulations, enabling investors to navigate the investment process more efficiently. By digitising investment procedures, Seychelles aims to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and improve transparency, positioning itself as a competitive destination for foreign direct investment in the Indian Ocean region.

Seychelles has been working to improve its business environment through various reforms in recent years. The i-Guide represents the latest in a series of digital transformation initiatives aimed at streamlining government services. The platform is accessible online and will be regularly updated to reflect changes in legislation and investment policies.

The launch aligns with broader efforts under the National Development Strategy to attract targeted investment in priority sectors including tourism, fisheries, renewable energy, and the Blue Economy. The SIB and UNCTAD will continue to collaborate on monitoring the platform’s effectiveness and expanding its features based on user feedback.

Seychelles’ i-Guide marks a significant advancement in the country’s digital investment facilitation infrastructure.
