Dylis Cedras Appointed Chief Executive of Enterprise Seychelles Agency

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Enterprise Seychelles Agency has welcomed Dylis Cedras as its new chief executive, following her appointment by the Office of the President. Ms Cedras brings approximately 17 years of public service experience to the role, having begun her career in 2008 as a secondary school teacher before transitioning into tourism and heritage management. Enterprise Seychelles Agency provides crucial support for small and medium enterprises across the archipelago.

This appointment matters to ordinary Seychellois entrepreneurs and small business owners who rely on the Agency’s programmes for training, financing, and business development support. Cedras’ background in both education and commerce provides her with unique insight into the skills development needs of the workforce and the commercial realities facing local enterprises. Her leadership will shape the Agency’s response to ongoing economic challenges.

Ms Cedras holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of the West of Scotland and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Marketing from the University of London. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Management at the University of Seychelles. Since 2023, she served as head of commerce and tourism at the Seychelles Islands Foundation, overseeing tourism and commercial operations across key national heritage sites.

Enterprise Seychelles Agency plays a vital role in promoting entrepreneurship and supporting business growth across the islands. Under previous leadership, the Agency has expanded access to financing for women-owned businesses and youth-led startups. Cedras’ experience with heritage site management and commercial operations positions her to strengthen linkages between tourism enterprises and cultural preservation initiatives.

The Agency coordinates with financial institutions to provide loan guarantees and works with international partners to bring technical expertise to local businesses. Her appointment signals continued government commitment to developing the small and medium enterprise sector as a driver of inclusive economic growth.

Cedras’ appointment took effect on January 12, 2026.
