Alain St Ange to Deliver Keynote Address at UK Parliament and Oxford University

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Seychelles’ well-known tourism personality Alain St Ange is set to deliver a keynote address at the House of Parliament in London, continuing to elevate the country’s tourism globally with back-to-back United Kingdom engagements. On January 15, Mr St Ange is scheduled to address the House of Parliament, followed by a special event at Oxford University just two days later.

The significance of these international engagements extends beyond personal recognition, representing valuable exposure for Seychelles as a premier tourist destination. For ordinary Seychellois, the tourism sector remains the backbone of the national economy, providing employment and income for thousands of families. When Seychellois representatives speak at prestigious international forums, it enhances the country’s visibility and competitiveness in the global tourism market.

At the House of Parliament, Mr St Ange has been invited to take the stage alongside a number of ambassadors and high commissioners at the AI Global Diplomacy Summit as a special guest speaker, providing another chance to showcase Seychelles’ tourism potential to influential figures worldwide. The Oxford University engagement will mark the third time that the former tourism minister has been invited to speak there, further cementing his reputation as a leading international voice in tourism.

Speaking to Seychelles NATION, Mr St Ange said he is looking forward to representing Seychelles and sharing the tourism story with global audiences once again. “Being part of these missions on the international Speakers’ Circuit allows me to continue putting Seychelles tourism in the spotlight, and I am always grateful for the chance to do so,” he added. He further emphasised the importance of the Outstanding Performer of the School for the Exceptional Child Award, presented annually for the past decade, noting that “it motivates the children to aspire for recognition, while showing them that their efforts are valued.”

Mr St Ange’s continued presence on the international stage demonstrates the lasting impact of his work as Minister of Tourism and Culture. Through these back-to-back engagements, he is set to reinforce Seychelles’ presence in key international and diplomatic circles, ensuring the islands remain visible to decision-makers, investors, and travel enthusiasts worldwide. His advocacy extends beyond tourism promotion to include social causes, reflecting a holistic approach to national representation.

The international recognition underscores Seychelles’ standing as a destination of excellence in global tourism circles.
