Minister Francourt Visits Three Tourism Establishments on Praslin

VICTORIA, Seychelles — A delegation from the Employment department, led by Minister Patricia Francourt, recently visited three tourism establishments on Praslin: the Indian Ocean Lodge, Bliss Hotel and Constance Lemuria. The visits are part of the minister’s ongoing engagement with hotels across the country.

Speaking during the visits, Minister Francourt highlighted the vital role of the tourism sector in the economy of Seychelles and underscored the need for a service delivery that reflects professionalism and efficiency. ‘I appreciate your dedication and the valuable contribution you make in promoting the uniqueness of Seychelles as a destination,’ she told the staff of the three establishments.

She encouraged young professionals working in the industry to remain and to take full advantage of the training and career opportunities that exist within the sector. The minister said such interactions are valuable opportunities to meet with employees and hold meaningful discussions with hoteliers, with the goal of fostering mutual understanding, addressing challenges faced by both parties, and strengthening communication to promote better labour dialogue.
