
VICTORIA, Seychelles — President Patrick Herminie has visited a number of historical and cultural sites in Moscow as part of the cultural programme during his working visit to the Russian Federation, accompanied by the ambassador of the Russian Federation to Seychelles, Artyom Kozhin. The President toured Moscow historical sites including the Diamond Fund and the Moscow Kremlin, where he was briefed on aspects of Russia’s historical and cultural heritage.
The delegation also visited the National Space Centre, where they were introduced to developments in space-related technologies and their broader applications in areas such as research, innovation, and economic development. On the margins of the visit, the delegation held a courtesy meeting with Deputy Director General for International Cooperation of Roscosmos, Sergey Saveliev, and his team, during which perspectives were exchanged on the evolving role of science and technology in supporting national development.
President Herminie was accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Diaspora Barry Faure, Chief of Staff Jennifer Vel, principal secretary Doreen Zelia, Minister for Industry and Enterprise Geralda Desaubin, Minister for Transport Veronique Laporte, and Minister for Youth and Sports Kalsey Belle. The high-level delegation underscores the comprehensive nature of the bilateral engagement.
