Anse Boileau scoops three top district awards

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Anse Boileau emerged as one of the top performers at the Ministry of Local Government and Inner Islands end-of-year awards ceremony, clinching three prizes for excellence in public administration.

The district received the Best Overall District Administration Office Award, the Outstanding District Administration Customer Care Award and the Excellence in Initiative Development Award, reflecting strong public engagement, innovation and service delivery.

Held at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort and Casino on Wednesday, the ceremony was attended by President Dr Patrick Herminie, accompanied by First Lady Veronique Herminie, Vice-President Sebastien Pillay and his wife Lina Pillay, as well as Minister for Local Government and Inner Islands Eveline Rose, senior government officials, district administrators and staff members.

In her address, Minister Rose commended district administrators for their tireless efforts in serving communities. “We are moving into a new year, and it will present its share of challenges, but our ministry’s collective determination is to meet them head-on and deliver results of the highest standard,” she said.

Anne Savy, the district administrator for Anse Boileau, attributed the success to teamwork. “We have a total of eight staff members, and we always consult one another. I have a background in customer service, which helps in my work and allows me to listen attentively to the residents of Anse Boileau,” she said.

Other winners included Grand Anse Praslin for Most Environment-Friendly District, St Louis for Excellence in Community Project Implementation, Baie Ste Anne Praslin for Outstanding District Partnership, Bel Air for Excellence in Community Engagement and Port Glaud for Best Festive District Decoration.
