The President of the Republic meets with Miss Regatta 2025

The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr. Patrick Herminie, met with Miss Regatta Kreolite 2025, Ms. Gaelle, accompanied by the First Princess, Ms. Nathalia Larue, and the Second Princess, Ms. Trisha Mondon this afternoon.

The President congratulated all three titleholders on their achievements and expressed his full support for the successful implementation of their respective community-driven projects. He commended the winning beauty queen for her project, “Active Ageing Lifestyle”, which focuses on the wellbeing of the elderly. The President further highlighted the importance of enhancing training for caregivers to ensure they are equipped to deliver both mental and physical support to the elderly population.

The Second Princess, Ms. Trisha Mondon, also shared details of her project centred on youth engagement in ocean conservation. Her initiative aims to educate young people on the importance of preserving the marine environment by encouraging their participation in clean-up activities both on land and in the water.

Accompanying the winners, Regatta Head Organiser Mr. Andrew Palmyre noted that the Round Table is currently conducting the sale of lottery tickets, and with the support of private businesses, the proceeds will be channelled towards the renovation of elderly homes. He added that this initiative will complement the project of the winning beauty queen.

On his part, Mr. Miguel Nolin shared the future projects being developed by the Roundtable, which are designed to bring meaningful benefits to the community and create new opportunities for small entrepreneurs.
