VICTORIA, Seychelles — The Terrestrial Restoration Action Society of Seychelles (TRASS) has donated plants to Baie Ste Anne primary school on Praslin, helping to inspire the school’s eco-club. The donation is part of TRASS’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental education and green initiatives in schools across the country.
The plants will be used to enhance the school’s outdoor learning spaces and to support hands-on activities for pupils who are members of the eco-club. TRASS officials said the initiative is part of a wider programme that aims to encourage environmental stewardship among young Seychellois, while also contributing to the greening of school grounds and the wider community.
Teachers and pupils at the school expressed gratitude for the donation, saying that it would help to bring classroom lessons on biodiversity and conservation to life. TRASS said it will continue to work with schools on Praslin and Mahé in the coming months, and called on other partners to support similar initiatives aimed at nurturing the next generation of environmental leaders.
