VICTORIA, Seychelles — The National Assembly of Seychelles has hosted an educational event to mark World Youth Skills Day, marked annually on July 15. The event, which brought together young people, educators, and members of parliament, was aimed at highlighting the importance of equipping youth with the skills they need to thrive in the world of work.
The educational talk was opened by the Speaker of the National Assembly and featured a presentation by Steve Monnaie, a rising young professional, who shared his journey and reflected on the importance of being curious, interested in the world, and willing to volunteer and learn. Participants were inspired to pursue skills development as a pathway to personal and professional growth.
The National Assembly noted that it will continue to support initiatives that promote skills development, entrepreneurship, and the empowerment of young Seychellois. The event was part of a wider effort by the parliament, government, and partners to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to realise their full potential.
