Club Med Seychelles Marks National Day With Staff and Seychellois Colleagues

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Club Med Seychelles joined the nation in commemorating the 49th anniversary of Seychelles’ independence by hosting a special National Day celebration for its staff on Sunday June 29, with a particular focus on its Seychellois employees. The ceremony took place at the resort’s main entertainment theatre and brought together staff and invited guests in a warm display of patriotism and unity.

The event was graced by the presence of Sherin Francis, principal secretary for Tourism, and Bernadette Willemin, director general for Destination Marketing at the Tourism Department. The national flag was raised in a solemn moment of reflection, after which staff and guests shared the significance of the day and honoured Seychelles’ journey as an independent nation.

Welcoming the guests, Club Med Seychelles general manager Trishi Sunassee underscored the resort’s commitment to embracing the cultural heritage of the destinations where it operates. Principal secretary Francis, for her part, paid tribute to the Seychellois employees who were on duty during the day and highlighted what she described as the ‘Seychelles spirit’ that gives the country its competitive edge as a tourism destination.
