VICTORIA, Seychelles — Marlon Maria, 24, is passionately chasing his artistic dreams through his photography and videography venture, M-Captions, while also working as a programmes officer at the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs for the past two and a half years. Launched in August 2024, M-Captions offers services such as photoshoots, video production, graphic design for business cards, logos, posters and other marketing materials.
“I had a strong desire and vision to create a business that fulfils a growing demand, while expressing my creativity,” said Marlon, who is from Roche Caiman. “While my passion for my job runs deep, I yearned to build something uniquely mine.” His journey into photography and videography was driven by a desire to be artistic and push his own boundaries.
Following last year’s launch, Marlon reached out to potential investors and gathered the necessary resources to bring his vision to life. He is supported by his dedicated makeup artist and business manager, Elsia Françoise. One of his most notable accomplishments was leading an intensive eight-day workshop as part of the E2C (Educate to Connect) initiative, instructing educators on using CapCut to produce engaging short educational videos. Marlon is also the dance captain of the Rhythm Creations Dance Crew (RC Crew).
