Gran Kaz Donates R20,000 to La Retraite Home for the Elderly as Part of 10 for 10 Campaign

VICTORIA, Seychelles — Gran Kaz has donated R20,000 to the La Retraite Home for the Elderly as part of its ongoing ‘10 for 10’ corporate social responsibility campaign. The home was the eighth stop of ten organisations chosen for the donation.

Speaking to the media, Gran Kaz’s public relations and communications manager, Shama Amesbury, said the organisation recognises the vital role the elderly play in the community. “The homes consistently require support, and we felt this was the perfect moment to extend our assistance through our campaign,” she said. In addition to the cheque, more than 20 Gran Kaz employees volunteered to assist the senior citizens with daily tasks, including landscaping, maintenance and pressure washing to remove moss accumulated during the rainy season.

Home administrator Lindy Roucou said the donation would greatly help, especially as the home is carrying out some renovations. One of the residents, Anabella Dupres, expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying she was thrilled to have the staff lend a hand. The ‘10 for 10’ campaign will visit two further organisations before the end of the initiative.
