VICTORIA, Seychelles — Discover Airlines, a Lufthansa Group carrier, will operate two weekly direct flights from Frankfurt to Seychelles during the 2025-2026 winter season, running from October 26, 2025 to March 2026. The route strengthens European connectivity at a time when Germany remains the country’s top source market for visitors.
The carrier confirmed the schedule to the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority in December 2024. After landing in Seychelles, the aircraft will continue to Mauritius, drop off remaining passengers, collect Frankfurt-bound travellers, and return to Seychelles the same day to board additional passengers for Germany. The service will make Discover the second German-based airline on the route, alongside Condor’s seasonal operations.
Transport Minister Antony Derjacques welcomed the announcement, calling it a significant step for connectivity to Europe. He noted that the agreement followed bilateral talks with German civil aviation counterparts at the 16th ICAO Air Services Negotiation event held in Malaysia in October 2024, which modernised the air services arrangement between the two countries.
Germany produced more than 54,000 visitors to Seychelles in 2023, ranking the market first in arrivals, and early 2024 figures suggest the position has been retained. With the new capacity, the minister said, Seychelles expects German arrivals to reach new levels in 2025, yielding direct economic benefits across the tourism value chain.
