SIB Marks 20 Years of Investment Promotion with New Logo

VICTORIA, Seychelles, The Seychelles Investment Board (SIB) yesterday afternoon unveiled a commemorative logo for its 20th anniversary celebration. The new logo represents two decades of the organisation work in promoting investment and supporting economic development in Seychelles. The unveiling marks the beginning of a year of activities and events to mark this important milestone for the country main investment promotion body.

It was the Minister for Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry, Devika Vidot, and the chief executive of SIB, Anne Rosette, who had the honour of unveiling the logo in a short ceremony held at the National Museum of History, Victoria. The setting was chosen to reflect the heritage and history of the organisation, which has played a key role in the country economic development over the past two decades. The minister spoke briefly about the importance of SIB work for the national economy.

Present at the short ceremony were the principal secretary for Investment, Entrepreneurship and Industry, Michael Nalletamby, and staff from the ministry and SIB. The ceremony was brief but significant, bringing together key figures who have been involved in shaping the investment landscape in Seychelles. Staff members and representatives of partner agencies shared in the moment, reflecting on the achievements of the past 20 years and the challenges that remain ahead.

SIB has been at the forefront of efforts to attract foreign direct investment into Seychelles and to support local entrepreneurs. Over the past two decades, the organisation has facilitated numerous investment projects across various sectors of the economy, including tourism, fisheries, financial services, and information technology. The 20th anniversary provides an opportunity to celebrate these achievements and to look ahead to the future of the country economic diversification strategy.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, SIB is expected to organise a series of events throughout the year to engage with investors, partners, and the public. These activities will highlight the organisation contributions to economic development and its role in positioning Seychelles as an attractive destination for investment in the region. The commemorative logo will be used in all communications and materials related to the anniversary celebrations over the coming months.
